Overview

This critical infrastructure project involves a proposed 800km+ underground pipeline enhancing east coast energy security. Regulatory planning approved with regional offtake points integrated, the corridor was designed to ensure minimal environmental and landholder impact, with future hydrogen transport capability. 

Scope

Acumentis was engaged to deliver comprehensive valuation and compensation services for: 

• 410 landholders 

• Native Title, Aboriginal Land Council, and Crown land 

• Biodiversity offset areas 

• Mediation and negotiation services

• Specialist five-member team deployed with experience in underground pipeline infrastructure and diverse land typologies.

Completed within four-month project timeframe: 

• Over 400 compensation assessments  

• 218 Native Title assessments across nine LGAs 
• Biodiversity land identification and offset assessments 

Outcome

• Successfully supported compensation negotiations and mediations with a broad range of landholders— private homeowners, mixed rural landholders through to international scale agricultural businesses. 

• Delivered high-quality outputs under tight timeframes with scalable resourcing and expert advice.
