Today we take a trip across the nation to talk to the state leaders from our specialist family law team about what fuels their passion to work in the family law valuation field. Join us in getting to know them a little better.
Meet Mark
A fountain of property knowledge Mark is a property valuer, building inspector, and experienced property developer – it’s hard to find someone with a deeper perspective of the property industry. A passionate family man, Mark has a wicked dry sense of humour.
What fuels Mark’s passion?
“I’ve been involved as an expert witness in many family law cases. Through this experience, I see the importance of parties reaching an agreement on asset division as quickly as possible. My passion is to help achieve this outcome by providing sound expert advice that allows them to focus on the really important things like custody of children.”
Mark Robins
State Director, Residential – South Australia
Meet Adam
A dedicated family man Adam loves spending time with his family watching the kids play. In his downtime he enjoys tinkering in the garage and fishing.
What fuels Adam’s passion?
“It’s very interesting helping people settle their largest assets. I enjoy providing valued advice that may not be required or is overlooked in some other areas of valuation. Working within family law valuation I undertake extensive research, speak with agents, and come up with the most accurate value for the clients to settle their asset.“
Adam Scerri
State Director, Residential – New South Wales
Meet Tom
A motor enthusiast that enjoys tinkering with engines in his downtime. Tom loves to water ski, read a good book, and will soon be welcoming the arrival of twins.
What fuels Tom’s passion?
“Separations are hard enough without worrying whether the valuer, understands their role, is truly independent, and lastly accurate in their assessment. Being the valuer that instils confidence in both parties that I understand the above, giving them one less thing to worry about and allowing them to focus on the rest of the case is why I love working in family law.”
Tom McDouall
Regional Director – Newcastle
Meet Geoff
A property-obsessed health fanatic who enjoys cooking (noodles particularly) as much as he enjoys being active outdoors or hitting the gym.
What fuels Geoff’s passion?
“The need for accuracy is paramount with family law valuations and striving for this level of expertise motivates me. I get a lot of job satisfaction out of helping clients in tricky situations. By playing an important role in the family law process I feel that a property valuer is treated as professional, not just part of a process.”
Geoff Duffield
State Director, Residential – Queensland
