Working Holiday Terms and Conditions

Australian Applicants

We look forward to working with you in planning your Working Holiday adventure. Any offer of employment will be dependent on certain criteria, some of these key elements are listed below:

1.1 Duration of Working Holiday

Your offer of employment will be for a minimum two-year period. At the end of the two-year period, whilst we hope you love working with Acumentis as much as we do, you will be free to end the contract with no strings attached at that time.

In the event the two-year period was not worked in full, there would be a requirement to reimburse the cost of the domestic flights taken in the year of departure and any pro rata payment of API and CPD fees.

 

1.2 Qualifications, Experience & Skills

To be eligible for a Working Holiday with Acumentis, the following requirements must be met:

  • Qualified as an RPV or CPV
  • API member
  • evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status
  • non adverse police clearance results
  • provision of two work related referees

 

1.3 Two Domestic Return Flights Per Year

Each year of your two to three year Working Holiday Pass you will be eligible for two return flights for yourself within Australia. This will allow you to enjoy your four weeks of paid annual leave each year and explore our beautiful country. The two flights may also be taken as one flight, with the second flight being for a partner or child travelling with you.

 

1.4 Working Holiday Completion – What’s Next?

In the six months prior to the end of your working holiday pass, we will be in touch to organise your next steps with you. This may include:

  • staying in the work location you have been working in or looking to relocate you to an alternative location
  • leaving the Acumentis team, with fabulous memories and an experience you will never forget

International Applicants

We look forward to working with you in determining your eligibility to work with us. Any offer of employment and lodgement of VISA application or Sponsorship will be dependent on certain criteria, some of these key elements are listed below:

2.1 Visa Requirements

There are nine VISA’s you may be eligible to apply for and each requires provision of different information. Some VISA’s have certain requirements. These include but are not limited to:

  • a maximum age
  • a minimum number of years you must be employed by Acumentis
  • option to work in metropolitan capital cities (for example Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne) or in regional locations (for example Perth, Toowoomba, Port Macquarie). Some VISA’s only allow for Regional placements.

 

2.2 Duration of Working Holiday

Your offer of employment will clearly outline if the working holiday pass is a two or three year contract and this will be based on the type of VISA that is being applied for. At the end of the two or three year period, whilst we hope you love Acumentis and Australia as much as us and want to facilitate a permanent move or stay with us, you will be free to return home if that is your preferred option.

 

2.3 Individual or Family Application

When you are applying to work with us, we will work with you to understand your personal requirements. For example, are you applying to come to Australia as an individual, or with a spouse/de-facto partner, or with children? Each and any scenario we can work with you on, to facilitate a smooth entry to work in Australia with us.

 

2.4 Qualifications, Experience & Skills – Eligibility for VISA

Most VISA’s require the following:

  • a minimum of 3 years working experience
  • a skills assessment by a third party
  • third party assessment of English language skills
  • non adverse police clearance results

 

2.5 API Membership

To work as a Registered Valuer in Australia you must have API Membership. There are a couple of ways you can go about this as an International Applicant, and we will work with you to determine the most efficient route. Based on your personal circumstances and the expected timeframe for registration, a condition of your employment offer will be to achieve registration in an agreed timeframe for the ongoing offer to remain valid.

2.6 Other

There are other items you may be required to undertake dependent on the VISA applied for. These may include:

  • obtaining health insurance relevant to your class of VISA
  • provision of pay slips and tax return information

You will also be required to evidence your COVID-19 Vaccination Status prior to a VISA application commencing.
