Acumentis Expands with Acquisition of Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations

Acumentis Group Limited (ASX: ACU) is thrilled to announce a strategic move in acquiring the business and assets of Gil Wright & Associates Business Valuations (GWA). The completion date for this acquisition is anticipated to be 1 February 2024.

Founded over 40 years ago, GWA initially operated as a business brokerage and business valuation firm. The valuation division later evolved into its own entity almost two decades ago, establishing itself as a leading business valuation provider in Queensland and NSW. GWA specialises in a range of valuations, including rent rolls and business valuations for financing, pre-sale and sale, business restructuring, litigation and family law, share ownership plans, compensation, and succession planning.

As part of this acquisition, all employees of GWA will be joining the Acumentis team. The highly experienced GWA team will seamlessly integrate into Acumentis, collaborating with our existing skilled business valuers and executive management team. Together, they will work towards expanding these specialised services to both existing and new clients across Australia, leveraging Acumentis' extensive network of offices

Teri Roberts, Principal of GWA, expressed her enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Becoming part of the Acumentis Group will allow my team and I to continue servicing our existing clients while developing new client relationships across Australia. This integration also provides greater opportunities for career development for both GWA and Acumentis employees. The specialised strengths and experience of GWA, coupled with the wider geographical reach and support from Acumentis, will establish an exceptional national rent roll and specialised valuation business. I am genuinely looking forward to the opportunities this will bring.”

Timothy Rabbit, Managing Director of Acumentis, commented on the strategic move, saying, “The acquisition continues our strategy of expanding our capabilities in property professional services alongside more traditional property valuations. We are excited to collaborate with Teri Roberts and the highly skilled GWA team to deliver anticipated business growth, increased career opportunities, and additional services to existing and new clients across Australia.”

This strategic move is expected to immediately contribute over $0.5 million in turnover to the Acumentis Group. Anticipating rapid growth, this acquisition positions the newly acquired business to capitalise on the opportunities that come with being integrated into a national, single-property professional services organisation.
